News & Events

Crystal clear skies & wall-to-wall sunshine--PERFECT!. The forecast calls for several days of sunny weather--great spring skiing & riding at Stowe. We groomed 40 novice & intermediate trails overnight, plus all 5 terrain parks & the half-pipe; there probably will be some delayed openings on steeper, ungroomed trails until sunshine & rising temperatures soften the snow. Today's Share the Slope" message: Make sure you know how to use the lifts before you get on, and ask if you're not sure. Stowe celebrates St. Patrick's Day Wednesday with $39 lift tickets, the "Hunt for the Golden Goggles" and a fun giant slalom race. At the Stowe Free Library, a presentation on "green" building Tuesday and a book discussion on our Civil War legacy Wednesday.

Caution

You may find unmarked obstacles such as rocks, ledges, stumps, trees, bare spots and variations in terrain. Do not proceed unless you accept responsibility for your safety and equipment, and are willing to confront all conditions and risks of a mountain environment.
