2007/2008 ADULT GROUP LESSON & TICKET PACKAGES
The last day of operation for all regular ski & snowboard school programs will be Sunday April 6th, 2008.
These programs include:
Adult Group Lesson, Stowe for Starters, Mountain Clinics, Big Easy, 3 Ski, Mountain Adventure, Kids Adventure, Cubs Adventure and Spruce Private Lessons.
Cubs Adventure will remain OPEN for DAYCARE only thru Sunday April 13th. Reservations can be made by calling 802-253-3685.
Private lessons are available at Mount Mansfield, from Monday April 7th-Sunday April 13th at a 50% discount. Reservations are suggested and can only be made after April 6th by calling our Mansfield Ski School desk at 802-253-3683.
Please remember that there is NO BEGINNER terrain at Mt.Mansfield.
For many winters, in our Stowe for Starters program, we have successfully progressed people from never-evers to linking turns on blue terrain. Why slowly struggle through it alone when you can make rapid progress and have fun with a pro from the Stowe Ski & Snowboard School? Our learning terrain at sunny Spruce Peak continues to improve. First time skiers and riders are challenged yet comfortable in our beginning teaching area complete with carpet lift. When you’re ready, we’ll guide you to our new triple chair for your first lift riding experience. And then there are 2 new high-speed quads at Spruce to move up to when you've graduated from the Adventure Triple Learning Area! There is no shortage of terrain for beginner's to enjoy!
The Stowe For Starters program includes up to two 90-minute group lessons and a Spruce Peak lift ticket. We recommend that adults, aged 13 and up, sign up daily for Stowe for Starters until you "graduate" to the terrain on Mt Mansfield. Once you’re comfortable on blue terrain (level 6 and up), reserve space in a morning or afternoon semi-private lesson or schedule a private lesson and let us introduce you to the legendary terrain that earned us the title of "Ski Capital of the East".

Stowe For Starters
(Ability levels 1-6)
Welcome to our winter wonderland! We want your first experiences to be the best that they can be. We believe that anyone can enjoy alpine sports; it's just a matter of connecting with a coach who sees your potential and has a plan. These ski or snowboard lessons all start and finish on the pleasant slopes of Spruce Peak . Just starting out? We'll begin on our carpet lift and have you on our brand new beginner Triple chair in no time! Not quite sure you're ready for the big mountain? Our coaches are gifted at helping you transition into a more confident blue terrain skier or rider. Ready to try moguls, racing, park & pipe skills? Our adventure zones on Spruce Peak are a great place to get started.
Level 1 - This is my first time! I would like to learn about my equipment and the basics for controlling my speed, turning and stopping.
Level 2 - I can turn and stop. I have used the Mighty Mite tow and I am ready to ride a chairlift.
Level 3 - I am starting to feel at home on green slopes. I can ride the chairlift.

Level 4 - I am comfortable on any green run and I would like to explore the easy blue runs like Upper Meadows and West Slope.
/ Level 5 - I am comfortable on green and easy blue runs. I would like to try some harder blue runs.
Level 6 - I feel good on most blue runs when the conditions are good. I am ready to start exploring black groomed runs.

We believe that Stowe for Starters is the best value for adults to learn to ski or ride. Adult group lessons alone are $41 ($48 weekends/holidays) each.
Our Stowe For Starters program is two lessons, plus a lift ticket! The lift ticket is practically free! If you're happy spending the day on sunny Spruce Peak , this package is a great value.
